Pittsburgh Guitars has been in business for over 30 years,
and we offer private, individual guitar lessons
at our store on Pittsburgh's South Side.
Our teachers provide lessons to a wide variety of skill levels and to all ages,
from complete beginners to musicians that
want to brush up on theory and technique.
Whether you're interested in learning acoustic styles, blues, jazz, or "Hey! I just want to learn
some chords so that I can play guitar around the campfire!" we can get you there.
Each lesson is tailored to your
preferred style of music, and your goals in learning to play.
$28 for 1 Hour Lesson
$18 for 1/2 Hour Lesson
Some books may be
required for instruction.
When you sign up for lessons,
we'll ask you to pay for your
and second lessons.
The next time
you come in,
pay for your third lesson,
and so on. That way,
you're always paid ahead
next scheduled lesson.

|Rich Dugan has been playing
guitar for 52 years and teaching for more than 30. He's an accomplished
instrumentalist who teaches
all styles of music, with a focus on
fingerstyle, classic rock, blues, and slide guitar in standard and alternate tunings
||Arianna Powell is a working
guitarist who loves and performs
several different styles of music,
particularly jazz, blues, and pop.
She holds a degree in Music
Education from Duquesne
University with a concentration
in jazz guitar. She caters to
students of all ages and areas
|Spencer Geer is a skilled musician and educator with particular expertise in guitar and bass education. He is experienced in multiple genres of music,
principally rock, blues, jazz, and R&B. He has experience teaching both beginners and advanced students, and is expecting a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from Duquesne University in the spring.
||Michael Borowski is an active
performer, arranger, and composer,
who has toured the US and Japan.
He has a B.A. and an M.M in Music Performance, both from Duquesne University. Mike began eaching at a young age, and has been a
professional instructor since 2010. He is versed in all styles of music, including classical, jazz, rock, and Brazilian choro/bossa nova.
