Used 2014 Martin 000-18 at Pittsburgh Guitars 2014 Martin 000-18
Natural polished gloss finish, made in USA, and in excellent+ condition! From Martin's Standard Series, the 000-18 was redesigned a couple years ago with vintage-style features in mind. Those features include a solid Sitka spruce top with aging toner, solid certified mahogany back and sides, scalloped X bracing, ebony fingerboard and bridge, tortoise-colored binding, nickel open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs and a large, old-style Martin logo on the headstock. It has a 24.9” short scale neck with a modified low oval profile with Performing Artist taper that has a width of 1-3/4” at the nut and 2-3/16” string spacing for easy playability. It's incredibly clean,with no dings or finish chips, and no visible playwear. Price includes equally clean original hard case, with most of the original paperwork. This guitar clearly got the best wood available at the time it was constructed -- it is a beauty of a guitar, and it sounds as good as it looks! (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 11)

Sunburst finish and in very good condition, with the playwear one might expect on a nearly 90-year old guitar. Features include a spruce top, bound maple body, round soundhole with 7-ply white and black soundhole inlay, and trapeze tailpiece. It has been refretted, and the finish is marked on the back and sides from lying on a strap for many years. The initial owner personalized the headstock and truss rod cover. The original pickguard is disintegrating, but can still be used as a pattern to make a replacement. Price includes original hard case, which latches and hinges are intact, with a functional replacement handle, and the thumb screws from the bridge are in the case compartment. From Martin's Sustainable Woods series -- built in accordance with Martin's responsible guitar building practices -- the majority of wood used in the making of this 000-sized, 14 fret guitar "originated in forests managed in an ecologically responsible manner." Features include a solid Sitka spruce top with a shaded, polished gloss finish, and beautifully figured solid sustainable cherry back and sides, with a satin finish. It is in excellent-plus condition, with no noticeable playwear. The only (barely) visible imperfections we found are two small indentations in the wood on the back. Used 2014 Yamaha LL16R at Pittsburgh Guitars 2014 Yamaha LL16R A.R.E.
Natural finish on a solid Engleman spruce top with solid rosewood back and sides. The top has been treated with Yamaha's proprietary Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E) wood reforming technology, which results in rich warmth, resonance, and balance. Other features include a 5-ply mahogany & rosewood neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, diecast gold tuning gears, and Yamaha's Zero impact under-saddle pickup. This is a 1-owner guitar in excellent condition, with a little bit of wear around the edge of the heelcap. Price includes original hard case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 11)
Used 2015 Yamaha AC1M at Pittsburgh Guitars 2009 Taylor 210E
Natural gloss finish on a solid Sitka spruce top, with satin finish laminate rosewood back and sides, and Taylor's under-saddle transducer pickup. Other features include an ebony fretboard with pearloid dot markers, Tusq nut and saddle, and tortoise-color pickguard. Used 2015 Yamaha AC1M at Pittsburgh Guitars 2015 Yamaha AC1M
Vintage Sunburst finish on a concert-size cutaway body in excellent overall condition. Features include a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides with mahogany body binding, a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, and Yamaha's SRT System 66 preamp and piezo pickup. It has some light pickguard scratches, and there is a thumb-wear spot near the nut that has been touched up. Price includes original hard case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7)

Famous the world over in its time, and highly sought after by dance band players in the 1920s, Paramount banjos were marketed as "The Banjo with Piano Volume and Harp Quality." The position markers are a fancy pearl design, and the headstock is decorated with stylish pearl inlays. This banjo is almost completely original, with calfskin head, and in excellent overall condition given its age. It has assorted dings and scratches, one replacement tuner, and the playwear you'd expect from an 86-year old instrument. There is a crack in the heel that was repaired when we got it. Key to Descriptions

Before we sell any used instrument, we send it through our repair shop for a complete set up. But because they're used, we've worked out the following descriptions to let you know how used they are. We'll be happy to give you more information via phone or email.

Mint Condition--like new, no wear
Excellent condition
--some play wear, maybe some small dings or light surface scratches
Very good condition
--a few scratches, some dings and/or lacquer chips, but structurally sound, normal play wear
Good condition--structurally sound, has been played a lot, some repairs or cosmetic flaws possible
Fair condition--a well-loved guitar, may have some problems, but we'll describe them as accurately as possible
