The neck joins the body at the 14th fret, and the fingerboard width is 1 3/4" at the nut. It's really fun to play! 1974 Gallagher 71 Special at Pittsburgh Guitars

1974 Galagher 71 Special
Hand-made in Wartrace, Tennessee, Gallagher guitars were made famous by Doc Watson's use of an early model. They are built by hand, and in limited number. This mid-70s dreadnought features a natural finish on a solid spruce top with solid rosewood back and sides, and an ebony bridge and bound ebony fingerboard with snowflake inlays. The body is bound front and back, it has an attractive herringbone trim, a beautiful backstripe, and a mother-of pearl inlay on the bound headstock. It is in very good condition, with a lot of "honest" playwear, finish checking and some minor chips and scrapes. It had a headstock crack when we got it which has been professionally (and excellently!) repaired by our guitar tech. Price includes a non-original Guild hard case.
