1966 Fender Jazz bass at Pittsburgh Guitars 1966 Fender Jazz Bass
The body of this bass has been refinished from sunburst to natural, and it is otherwise all original -- neck finish and decal, hardware and electronics, even including both pickup covers. The original sunburst finish can be seen in the neck pocket. The neck and pots date 1966. It is in excellent condition in its present form with some small dings and scuff marks, and some belt buckle scratches on the back. The thumbrest was moved at one time, and there is some wear on the back of the neck. The original frets show very little wear. There are 2 extra holes in the pickguard and the body. Used Landing L5 5-string bass at Pittsburgh Guitars Landing L5 5-String
Natural finish on a solid body with hard rock maple neck and rosewood fingerboard and 34" scale. Features include a Hipshot type A brass string-through bridge, 2 EMG pickups and double battery compartment, Gotoh tuners, and gold hardware. The preamp was changed to an EMG BQC system, with volume, blend, treble/bass stack, and stacked mid controls. The change added a knob, and left a hole where there was once a switch. It's in excellent condition with a few small dings and some light finish checking on the back. Price includes a hard case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4)
Used 2013 Fender `60s Jazz bass at Pittsburgh Guitars 2013 Fender `60s Jazz Bass
3-color sunburst with rosewood fingerboard, made in Mexico, and in near-mint condition. Features include many period-correct details of the original Jazz bass, including an offset waist, ultra-slim neck, vintage-style hardware, and a pair of vintage-style alnico magnet single-coil Jazz bass pickups. It's exceptionally clean, with no dings or chips, no surface scratches, and no visible playwear -- the plastic is still on the pickguard. Price includes original Fender gig bag. Used Fender Standard Fretless Jazz bass at Pittsburgh Guitars 2002 Fender Standard Series Fretless Jazz Bass
Brown sunburst finish with rosewood fingerboard, made in Mexico, and in excellent overall condition, with a couple small dings, and a finish chip on the bottom edge. Features include a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, 2 single-coil Jazz Bass pickups, and chrome hardware. Price includes gig bag. (picture - 2 - 3)

Key to Descriptions

Before we sell any used instrument, we send it through our repair shop for a complete set up. But because they're used, we've worked out the following descriptions to let you know how used they are. We'll be happy to give you more information via phone or email.

Mint Condition--like new, no wear
Excellent condition
--some play wear, maybe some small dings or light surface scratches
Very good condition--a few scratches, some dings and/or lacquer chips, but structurally sound, normal play wear
Good condition--structurally sound, has been played a lot, some repairs or cosmetic flaws possible
Fair condition--a well-loved guitar, may have some problems, but we'll describe them as accurately as possible
As-is--needs work
