1974/75 Fender Mustang bass at Pittsburgh Guitars

1974 / 1975 Fender Mustang
Sunburst finish on a short scale (30") bass with a split pickup and one tone and one volume control. The pickups and pots date 1974, the serial number puts it in 1975. Introduced in 1966, the Mustang bass was initially developed for the student market, but the model has been used by many notable players through the years. This one has a 4-bolt neck, rosewood fingerboard with dot markers, a white pickguard, and loads of honest playwear. It is in very good condition overall with a number of dings, scratches, and finish chips. It has a smoky, aged quality to the finish, and it is missing the mutes and the thumbrest. Hofner Verythin bass at Pittsburgh Guitars

Hofner CT Series 500/7 Verythin
The bass version of Hofner's famous Verythin guitar, this short-scale bass features a sunburst finish on semi-hollow flame maple body with a spruce center block. It has a rosewood fingerboard with Hofner Stripe inlays, two Hofner "Staple" pickups, and a pearloid pickguard. It is in excellent overall condition, with some very light surface scratches, and a small ding in the binding at the heel cap. Price includes a hard form-fit case. 2002 Fender Standard Jazz bass at Pittsburgh Guitars 2002 Fender Standard Jazz Bass
Burgundy finish, made in Mexico. Features include a rosewood fingerboard iwth dot markers, and two Jazz bass pickups. It's in very good condition, with some scrapes, scratches and small dings. Price includes a gig bag. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8)

Key to Descriptions

Before we sell any used instrument, we send it through our repair shop for a complete set up. But because they're used, we've worked out the following descriptions to let you know how used they are. We'll be happy to give you more information via phone or email.

Mint Condition--like new, no wear
Excellent condition
--some play wear, maybe some small dings or light surface scratches
Very good condition--a few scratches, some dings and/or lacquer chips, but structurally sound, normal play wear
Good condition--structurally sound, has been played a lot, some repairs or cosmetic flaws possible
Fair condition--a well-loved guitar, may have some problems, but we'll describe them as accurately as possible
As-is--needs work
