1960s ROXY by Hofner electric guitar at Pittsburgh Guitars 1960s ROXY - Made by Hofner
"Made in Western Germany," this rare guitar has "Hofner" written all over it! Best we can tell, Roxy was a wholesaler in the 1960s, and their tag has been found on (at least) guitars, banjos, and drums. This solid body has a redburst finish, one Hofner pickup, and a Hofner control panel. One of the tuning gears is broken, and one was replaced when we got it. We found a close match to its originals, but you can still see the extra screw holes from the old replacement gear. And the pickguard was painted white when we got it, so we stripped it to black. The tag on the headstock reads "Roxy, Hamburg-Wandsbek, Made in Western Germany." It's in excellent overall condition, with some dings and finish chips. And it weighs in at a comfortable 4 lbs. 4.5 oz.! Price includes original gig bag. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5)
$395

Key to Descriptions

Excellent condition

Very good condition
--a few scratches, some dings and/or lacquer chips, but structurally sound, normal play wear
Good condition--structurally sound, has been played a lot, some repairs or cosmetic flaws possible
Fair condition--a well-loved guitar, may have some problems, but we'll describe them as accurately as possible
As-is--needs work
