1999 Fender American Vintage ’57 Stratocaster in Aztec Gold, Comes with Original Tweed Case and Pro-Setup
Categories
Here we have a 1999 Fender American Vintage ’57 Stratocaster in Aztec Gold. This fine looking Fender is from the American Vintage series, which honors the original specs and detailing including neck and headstock shapes, body radii and contours, and hand beveled pickup magnets. This ‘57 reissue has a maple soft V-Shape neck, maple 7.25” radius fingerboard, Alder body, 21 Nickel Silver “vintage” frets, vintage-tint gloss finish, and a single-ply white pickguard. The pickups are the American Vintage Strat set, which is original to the guitar. This guitar was originally sold with the 3-way switch installed, and the 5-way switch was included in the case. The 5-way switch is currently on the guitar (no sign of the 3-way); and, the wiring has been restored to vintage spec. The previous owner had upgraded the guitar with vintage-style locking tuners, Callaham saddles on the bridge, and Dunlop strap locks (shown in photo). The condition of this guitar is excellent; however, we like to document all of the slight dings and scratches in the photos. The unique cosmetic issue to speak of is the prior over-tightening of the neck plate on the back, which has cracked/chipped the finish on the heel corners. The guitar comes with its original tweed hard case, and has been professionally setup by our shop repairman.
