1934 National Style O at Pittsburgh Guitars 1934 National Style O
This is one of our favorite guitars in the shop right now! It features National's iconic Hawaiian palm tree design etched into a nickel-plated brass body. It is in very good condition overall, with the play wear expected of a great old guitar; some scratches, some minor dents, some fret wear, with lots of fret left. Our tech believes that it long ago had a high-quality conversion from a square neck. It has changed, period-correct tuners, and a slight bow on the bass side, common to these guitars, that does not affect the playablity. And you will want to play it! 1968 Martin 0-16NY at Pittsburgh Guitars 1968 Martin 0-16NY
Natural finish on a sweet Martin parlor guitar on consignment at our shop. It features a solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. It is in very good condition, with some small dings and scrapes, and pick scratches on the front. Price includes a possibly-original chipboard case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5)

Antique Natural finish on a square shouldered dreadnought acoustic, in excellent overall condition. It is crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides, a bound ebony fretboard with split parallelogram pearloid inlays, an abalone rosette, and gold hardware. 1970s Ernie Ball Earthwood acoustic guitar at Pittsburgh Guitars c. 1975 Ernie Ball Earthwood
Made briefly in the 1970s, as a cousin to the Earthwood acoustic bass, this jumbo flattop is a rare one! Most notable for its bolt-on neck and wooden pickguard, it has a spruce top and mahogany sides, and a maple neck and fingerboard. It is in good-to-very-good condition, with lots of playwear, a couple repaired cracks, a changed tuner, and impressions on the back from some unknown infraction. It is also missing the label. Natural satin finish on a solid spruce top with solid rosewood back and sides, a clear, rectangular pickguard, and Fishman electronics. It is on consignment in our shop, and is in very good + condition, with some dings and scrapes. Price includes a hard case. (picture - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5)

Honeyburst finish on a smaller-sized archtop featuring an arched solid spruce top, mahognay body and classic f-holes. It has a rosewood fretboard with pearloid dot inlays, tortoise colored pickguard, historic tuner and headstock inlay design, and a 1930s-era replica Epiphone label. It's a great-looking package, stage ready with Sonic HD preamp / NanoFlex HD pickup. It is in excellent condition, with some light scratches on the pickguard. Price includes a gig bag. Sunburst finish resonator, constructed with a laminated mahogany body with a spider cone resonator, mahogany neck with medium jumbo frets, a Fishman Nashville Resophonic pickup, and Grover tuners. It is in excellent condition. Price includes a gig bag. (picture - 2)

Washburn B16 banjo at Pittsburgh Guitars Washburn 5-String Banjo
We are not exactly sure what this model is - it's very much like the B-16, but with a different headstock inlay. The tailpiece was missing when we got it, and has been replaced. It is in very good-plus condition with some light scratches. Price includes hard case. (picture - 2 - 3)

Very cool, and in very good condition, with attractive marquetry inlaid around the outside, some overspray, and the flange has been painted gold. It does not have a case. (picture - 2 - 3)

Key to Descriptions

Before we sell any used instrument, we send it through our repair shop for a complete set up. But because they're used, we've worked out the following descriptions to let you know how used they are. We'll be happy to give you more information via phone or email.

Mint Condition--like new, no wear
Excellent condition
--some play wear, maybe some small dings or light surface scratches
Very good condition
--a few scratches, some dings and/or lacquer chips, but structurally sound, normal play wear
Good condition--structurally sound, has been played a lot, some repairs or cosmetic flaws possible
Fair condition--a well-loved guitar, may have some problems, but we'll describe them as accurately as possible
As-is--needs work
