Here we have a 2023 Gibson J-45 Standard in Vintage Sunburst Finish! The condition of this guitar is “Excellent -“. It displays only light cosmetic issues such as light finish scratches, tiny dings/scuffs, etc. There are 2 “halo” finish blemishes: one alongside a series of tiny pockmarks at the side body, and the other at the front tip of the pickguard on the top body. The back headstock shows some small indents under the serial #, and a little finish checking. The back of the neck shows light player hand “rash”. Everything described, depicted in the photo documentation, is consistent with a regularly, lightly played instrument.

The J-45 Standard came to us with its original hard case (no paperwork); and it has been setup by our shop repairman. Nicknamed “The Workhorse” and first introduced in 1942, this iconic acoustic has become the cornerstone of its round-shoulder, dreadnought line. World-renowned for its full, balanced expression, warm bass, and excellent projection, the J-45 has been refined to carry this legacy to new heights. The Gibson J-45 Standard delivers a sound with incredible dynamic range, warm mids, and a tight, punchy bass due in part to its round-shoulder body and sides that are made from solid mahogany and its solid Sitka spruce top; it’s a classic tonewood recipe that is ideal for all musical styles. The mahogany neck has a comfortable and fast-playing SlimTaper™ profile and is topped with a rosewood fretboard that is outfitted with 20 standard frets and adorned with simple mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The neck is fitted to the body with a compound dovetail joint, ensuring outstanding tonal transfer and sustain. The traditional rosewood belly-up bridge is outfitted with a TUSQ® saddle and bridge pins.
