Amplifier Repair

Pittsburgh Guitars offers a complete musical instrument amplifier repair service for most major brands.  We are an Authorized Warranty Repair Center for Fender and Vox. And we service what we sell.

Amp Technician John Wagner has over 25 years of experience in amp repairs and has been with Pittsburgh Guitars since 1997.

A musician himself, John understands not only how an amplifier works but how it should sound. With a commitment to customer satisfaction, no work will be done without direct authorization from the customer, and all completed work carries a full 60-day parts & labor warranty.

If the stack just doesn’t sound right, the combo is blowing fuses, that vintage tweed amp is making strange noises, or that old pawnshop job is just dead as a doornail, let our experienced staff get you back up and running to maximum performance!

Common amplifier services include:

  • Tube & Solid State/SMT Technologies
  • Complete & thorough circuit diagnostics
  • Tube replacement / Upgrades
  • Capacitor replacement / Upgrades
  • Speaker Replacement / Upgrades
  • Part of the Mercury Magnetics™ Service & Support Network*
  • Rush Priority Service Available
  • We are an Authorized Warranty Repair Center for Fender, Marshall, and Vox

We will ask for a bench charge deposit of $69.95 when you drop off your amplifier. That fee is applicable to any repairs made, but covers John’s time and expertise in the event that you decide not to go forward with repairs.
