1954 Gibson ES-125 in Sunburst; Comes with After-Market Hard Case and Pro-Setup

Here we have a 1954 Gibson ES-125 in Sunburst, and in Very Good Condition! As you may see in the photos, this hollow body ES-125 looks fantastic considering it is 72 years old. Everything appears to be original as per our assessment (except the case). The tuner buttons have shrunk and appear somewhat malformed due to age and off-gassing, but they are still functional. The frets have some mild divoting in the 1st – 6th treble fretting area. Everything you see cosmetically is very typical from a guitar this age: medium finish checking, some finish pitting and rash, scratches/scuffs, aged metals and plastic, finish/patina discoloration, and etc. The only repair that the guitar needed was a re-glue of one top bracing inside the body, which was performed by our shop repairman of 45 years. The guitar does not show any evidence of body crack repairs, nor a neck reset. The P-90 sounds clear and strong, and the controls work perfectly fine. It is really difficult to see the FON # inside the soundhole; but with good lighting, camera work, and eye strain, you can see that the FON starts with an “X” making this guitar a 1954 production year.

The guitar came with an after-market “Huss and Dalton” tweed hard case, which fits it perfectly. After a professional setup, this ES-125 is ready for its next home! Please feel free to message us about our 1954 Gibson ES-125 in Sunburst!
