1943 Gibson L-00 Parlor Acoustic in Sunburst; Comes with After-Market Hard Case and Pro-Setup
Categories
Here we have a 1943 Gibson L-00 Parlor Acoustic in Sunburst Finish! This pre-war Gibson has the large script logo, double-bound body, 14-fret clearing, black bridge pins, and the fire stripe pickguard. Besides the FON number located inside the soundhole, these are all indicators of the ’37-’45 production period. The guitar features a Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, and a Mahogany neck with a full C-shape profile (not too beefy).
This example of the ’43 Gibson L-00 is in Good Condition! It displays heavy checking (more so on the back/sides than the top), re-glued bridge, neck reset, binding repair, original pickguard shrinkage, and a refret done in the recent past. On the back body, there is evidence of 2 repaired cracks (long center seam, and a shorter slightly off-center seam closer to the neck heel). All of the repairs look to be professionally done, and the guitar plays excellently! Please see all the photo documentation provided of the condition of this instrument.
The L-00 came to us with a “Road Runner” hard case, and it has been professionally setup and vetted through our shop repairman of 44 years. This is a beautiful, full sounding parlor; and it is ready for it’s next owner and caretaker! Please feel free to message us about the 1943 Gibson L-00 Parlor Acoustic!!
