1965 Harmony H46 Stratotone Mars in Sunburst Finish; Comes with Harmony Chip-Board Case and Pro-Setup!

Here we have a 1965 Harmony H46 Stratotone Mars, Sunburst Finish, in Very Good Condition! The guitar itself is in original condition, except for the after-market strap button that was added to the upper-bout side (at some point). The Harmony Stratotone logo is still nicely intact; however, the atomic symbol has faded some on the pickguard. The hard-mounted DeArmond “Hershey Bar” pickups sound strong and clear, although the bridge pickup will be lower in volume due to the non-adjustable height. (One would need a custom made height shim pickup ring/mount to correct the volume difference). The H46 features a laminate chambered body with celluloid binding, straight-line hardwood neck with steel reinforced rod (non-adjustable), and an “ebonized” maple fingerboard. The scale length is 24.5″. It has 3 in-line open gear tuners, a height adjustable floating bridge, and concentric volume/tone knobs for the electronics. The chip board case is a case that Harmony used for their guitars; but, we are not certain if it was originally for this instrument (The case looks like it may be for a Harmony “Rocket” sized guitar).

This Stratotone is in really good shape considering its age! Nothing structurally offensive has happened to this guitar; just some natural aging and mild/moderate player wear (finish checking, age discoloration of plastics, nicks, dings, scratches, and scuffs). The guitar doesn’t really have any finish rashing from heavy playing; just some areas of blemishing (i.e. lower back headstock). Please take your time to look at all the photo documentation provided depicting the condition stated.

The instrument has been through our shop repairman for a full checkup, and it is ready for it’s next home! Please feel free to message us about the 1965 H46 Stratotone Mars in Sunburst!
