1974 Rickenbacker 4001 FG in Fireglo; Comes with 80’s “Fender” Hard Case and Pro-Setup
Categories
Here we have a 1974 Rickenbacker 4001 FG in Fireglo Finish! The Ric 4001 Bass was the first model to have 2 pickups (for more bass extension when both pickups are selected). But, this was before the push-pull knob which came with the 4003 bass models.
This 4001FG is in Very Good Condition, and displays a faded/lighter finish. Rickenbacker was well-known to be inconsistent in their finish hues. Thus, we theorize that this bass was not only subjected to vintage fading, but also a lighter Fireglo application. This Ric 4001 is very structurally sound; it shows normal cosmetic wear of a well-played vintage bass. It displays a moderate amount of nicks, dings, scratches, buckle-rash on the back, finish/paint wear, scuffs, etc. (no cracks or breaks). Please refer to all the photo documentation provided of the condition stated. Everything is original to the bass, except for the replaced bridge/tailpiece and the missing metal “horseshoe” bridge pickup cover.
The ’74 4001FG came to us in a after-market Fender (circa 1980’s) hard case; and it has been professionally setup by our shop repairman! Please feel free to message us about the 1974 Rickenbacker 4001 FG Bass!
