2002 Historic Custom `57 Les Paul Goldtop LPR7 in VOS Antique Gold Finish (On Consignment).

A nice example of Gibson’s recreation of their classic 1957 Les Paul, this beauty features a carved maple top on a solid, non-weight relieved mahogany body.

It has a mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays, and two stock ’57 Classic humbucking pickups with 3-way switching. (The Historic Customs from 2003+ had BurstBuckers.)  Other features include vintage-style tulip tuners, and an inlaid, pearl-cut Gibson logo on the headstock.

An Antique Gold finish matches the hue of the original, giving it an historic look.  It is in excellent condition, with a few scratches and dings (please see photo documentation).  No buckle rash is present on the guitar; it generally displays very fine scratches from light use and/or polishing.  There is one factory blemish on the headstock displaying as a finish “bubble” imperfection.  The guitar previously had different pickups installed, but the owner kept the stock ’57 Classics, and were reinstalled.  The guitar does not have the original knobs and strap buttons.  It currently has after-market speed knobs and strap buttons attached.  The instrument weighs 9 lbs. and 4 oz.
