2002 Gibson J-45 Rosewood Custom in Sunburst Finish; Comes with Original Hard Case and Pro-Setup

Here we have a rare 2002 Gibson J-45 Rosewood Custom in Sunburst Finish! This guitar was made in the Gibson Custom acoustic factory out of Montana; in which, Master Luthier Ren Ferguson designed the Rosewood Custom and oversaw production. This was the most luxurious iteration of the J-45 that Gibson Custom was going for at the time. Aside from standard J-45 specs, the Rosewood Custom features the following: Rosewood back and sides (deeper tone), Abalone Top Binding, Abalone Soundhole Rosette, Mother-of-Pearl “Gibson” Logo and Crown Inlays, Mother-of-Pearl custom fingerboard inlays, bound headstock, Gold Grover Kidney-Bean Tuners, Ebony Fingerboard, and Spruce Top. You don’t see this production model to often!

The J-45 Rosewood Custom arrived to us in Excellent “-” Condition! After 24 years, this acoustic shows signs of minor finish aging and consistent gentle play. There is no buckle rash on the back; however, there is evidence of “leg” rash on the side bout where the guitar contacts a seated player. There is minor checking that is starting to develop; it is more pronounced where wood joins the binding areas and other wood joints. The aging finish is also apparent as it melds with the wood grain. There are 2 areas where a small piece of finish has come off: At the “D” Tuner front headstock, and behind the end strap button (note the finish checking where it meets the binding in those photos). The pickguard displays a lot of fine scratches from strumming, and the finish is worn out a little in between the pickguard and bridge. Otherwise, minor fine scratches and really small finish dings/pitting are mildly throughout the guitar. Everything about the condition stated are shown in all the photos.
