2011 Gibson Historic ’57 Les Paul Custom in Ebony VOS Finish, Comes with Original Hard Case, On Consignment

Here we have a 2011 Gibson Historic ’57 Les Paul Custom in Ebony VOS finish!  It has been dubbed “The Ultimate Solid Body Guitar”, “Black Beauty”, and “The Fretless Wonder” (due to the lower fret height).  It features a solid, all Mahogany body (no maple cap), multi-ply white and black binding on both the top and back, a set mahogany neck, and two BurstBucker humbuckers with 3-way switching.  It has a Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays, plastic “vintage” tulip tuners, and gold-plated hardware.

This guitar is in very good+ condition, with some small dings, scratches, and light scuffs.  There are a couple of areas of finish blemishing:  Back center of the body, and the back of the headstock by “B” tuner.  The pickguard displays reasonably light pick wear, but the backplate is heavily scuffed and scratched.  No buckle rash is apparent on the guitar.  Lastly, it appears that the tuners were changed at some point (as shown by the headstock close ups), but the original tulip tuners and bushings were reinstalled.  Please refer to all the photo documentation, as it visually depicts our assessment.  The instrument weighs 8 lbs. and 15 oz.
