At Pittsburgh Guitars, we are proud to be an authorized Hofner Premium Dealer; and we have just acquired a brand new Hofner 500/1-63-60^TH-0 60^th Anniversary Violin Bass!  This bass is a faithful replica of the model that Paul McCartney owned and played; and only a very limited quantity is going to be available for this anniversary run.  The one shown here is #63 (see photo of back headstock).  Here’s an opportunity to own one of the most iconic basses modeled after Sir Paul’s.

The Violin Bass ’63 – 60th Anniversary takes its inspiration from a bass made around July and August of 1963 and, as far as is possible, is a close reproduction of that instrument.  This bass features Hollowbody construction made of beautifully flamed maple with a spruce top.  Two-piece maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard.  Nut width 41 mm, scale length 762 mm. Authentic ’63 Style Sunburst Finish.

Including a Höfner Vintage strap, a Höfner case and some special ‘case candy’ … 

Featuring an individually numbered hand printed graphic designed art print signed by Klaus Voormann.

Each bass is supplied with one copy to match the serial number of the instrument.
